Telemann: The Forgotten Genius of the High Baroque

Purcell Room, Southbank Centre, London, UK

    Tickets via Southbank Centre website

Hear Telemann’s greatest chamber works, the Paris Quartets, juxtaposed with Bach’s trio sonatas in this concert.

Acknowledged to be one of the greatest voices of the baroque period, Telemann’s masterpieces are often neglected in comparison to those of Bach and Handel. Yet Telemann was, if anything, more forward-looking than either of them. Experience his work for yourself in this performance of the Paris Quartets juxtaposed with Bach's trio sonatas.
